Now that YETI is synonymous with outdoor gear, you can find many imitations of their iconic coolers and tumblers on the market today. A quick walk down the drinkware aisles in Target or Walmart will definitely lead you right to the imitation section where you can find faux YETI tumblers for much cheaper than the name brand. There's nothing wrong with going the imitation route--especially for the casual outdoorsman or woman. However, if there was one photo you needed to see to convince you of YETI's greatness, this is it.

The caption reads: "If you were wondering why YETI is so expensive. Here is your answer. My friends truck went up in flames and there is still ice in his YETI cup."
Some naysayers didn't quite believe the story, but Eric responded with the full scenario in a comment.
"Doug, my neighbor had his truck engine worked on. After the repairs were completed the truck caught on fire while driving down the road. No one was hurt but the truck burned up. When he was inspecting the truck after the fire was put out he discovered the yeti and the ice so he took a few pictures."
Wondering which YETI is best for you? Here are my 2 favorite YETI items you can find on Amazon, and the best part is that they're all available for free 2-day shipping for Prime Members.
I have the 30-ounce YETI Rambler and I use it religiously, but I have the model without the MagSlider Lid. If you had to twist my arm to upgrade, I'd definitely pick this one in Tahoe Blue. It's available in six different colors. Find them here on Amazon.
I also have this colster, and I cannot speak enough great things about it! I take it with me floating the river in Texas, fly fishing in Colorado, and even to my desk to make sure my sparkling waters don't get too warm before I can finish them. This is featured in Seafoam, but there are six color choices, along with the option for customizations. Find them here on Amazon.
