Strawberry Compound Butter with Violet or Thyme

Ingredients
  

Strawberry Thyme Compound Butter

  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1 1/2 tbs fresh thyme leaves, minced

Strawberry Violet Compound Butter

  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1/4 cup violet petals, rinsed and patted dry, minced

Instructions
 

  • Using the paddle attachment, beat the butter until creamy. Add the strawberries and thyme or violets, then beat until incorporated. Taste, then add salt or sugar as desired.
  • Use the butter immediately while warm and malleable, or refrigerate to use over the next few days. Excess can be frozen to last up to a few weeks.
