Whiskey Pickle Back Cocktail

One of my favorite shots to take is a pickleback. A shot of whiskey followed by pickle juice is probably one of the best shots to order at the bar. But what if you are feeling a little bit more in the mood for a cocktail recipe? Have no fear, this Whiskey sour pickle cocktail is just what you are looking for. It combines all the flavor of your favorite chaser combo in a sophisticated cocktail glass. Plus it lets you drink the dill pickle brine all night long.

How to Make a Whiskey Pickle Sour Cocktail

In a cocktail shaker, add lime juice (you can always use lemon juice) dill pickle juice, and whiskey. If you are wanting something a little sweeter you can add some simple syrup.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake for about 30 seconds. Pour the drink into martini glasses and garnish with a cornichon or lemon slice.

The Pickled Surfer

Irish whiskey, bread and butter pickle juice, and squeezed lime juice is the star of this whiskey cocktail. Once stirred in a highball glass with ice, the cocktail is garnished with lime, pickles, and a sprinkling of Old Bay Seasoning.

According to blogger Casey Barber, this cocktail was once served at a New York City bar. It has since closed, so the only way you can enjoy the drink is if you make it yourself at home.

Pickle Brine Bloody Mary

Bloody Mary Mix, pickle juice, and vodka. That's all you need for an old-fashioned Bloody Mary! We suggest garnishing with pickles and a strip of savory bacon. Now doesn't that sound divine on a hot summer or a cool autumn evening?
