Whataburger Launches Delivery Service for the First Time

Download the Whataburger App ASAP because the Texas-based burger chain is finally offering Whataburger delivery! Now more than ever customers are looking for ways to enjoy their favorite restaurants while social distancing during the pandemic. No need to change out of your sweatpants, simply select the new delivery option on your Whataburger's app and it'll be delivered to your front door.

At Whataburger, we're always looking for ways to make it easy for our guests to get all their favorite menu items, and now with delivery, they don't have to leave the house," said Senior Vice President and Chief Restaurant Operating Officer Rob Rodriguez. "This offering is just another way for us to bring a more convenient, safe option to satisfy all those Whataburger cravings.

How To Use Whataburger Delivery

According to Whataburger, customers will get exclusive access to deals and even free food when they sign up for the app. Once opened, press the ORDER button in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Create your order (I'll take french fries, a double meat Whataburger, and a Dr Pepper shake please) and proceed to the checkout.

Select DELIVERY, then your delivery address and delivery time. You can schedule it up to 24 hours in advance. Then confirm and pay all on the app (and don't forget to tip!). Once finished filling out the app, the restaurant will begin to make your food and a third-party food delivery service will deliver it!

As if you needed an incentive to download the app, now through June 7 Whataburger is offering a buy one, get one Dr Pepper shake at participating locations.

Keeping with the current CDC recommendations, the delivery is contactless and orders are packaged in sealed bags. The brand will still be offering drive-thru and curbside pickup methods throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

The new delivery service will be rolled out in a number of select locations at first, with San Antonio being one of the first cities included.
