Whataburger Plans to Expand into Colorado

While it may be announced on April 1, it's not an April Fools' joke! According to local news Fox 31, the Texas fast food chain Whataburger is hitting the road and headed to Colorado Springs according to a senior account executive from Whataburger.

"Whataburger is growing, and we have more good news. It's true we are planning to bring our iconic burgers and exceptional customer service to Colorado Springs. We'll have more information to share in the future, but we have some great fans in Colorado Springs and we hope they're as excited as we are."

When is Whataburger Opening in Colorado?

While there is no official opening date set for the first Colorado location since the 1970s, however, plans are set to be approved soon and start construction this summer at the InterQuest Marketplace shopping center, just off Interstate 25 at the InterQuest Parkway exit. The Whataburger location will be close to In-n-Out Burger which opened last year.

Whataburger isn't the only fast food joint settling in the Rockies. The Shake Shack restaurant chain has a location in Denver while Coloradans can enjoy snacking on Raising Cane's chicken in Aurora.

What To Order at Whataburger

Never been to a Whataburger restaurant before? Originally opened in Corpus Christi, Texas, the burger joint is known for their burgers, chicken, and sauce options.

If its your first time I highly suggest a bacon and cheese Whataburger loaded with spicy ketchup. If you are in the mood for chicken, go during breakfast and grab a Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit. You can thank me later for the suggestion.

Feeling like something sweet? Grab one of Whataburger's famous milkshakes. Keep an eye out for the limited time Dr Pepper shake and when you see the sign on the window, order it immediately, you won't regret it.
