Watch Matthew McConaughey's Hilarious Pit Stop At A Texas Whataburger

He's the bonafide mayor of Texas. Born in Uvalde, Texas, the Dallas Buyers Club star loves the Lone Star State. Whether he is rooting on the Texas Longhorns as an assistant coach, enjoying a quiet evening at his home in Austin, or even eating at a local Whataburger, Matthew McConaughey is the ultimate Texan.

The San Angelo Whataburger, located at N. Bryant Blvd and 19th Street didn't realize the Oscar-winning actor was in their drive-thru until one employee noticed his name on the credit card he handed them. Brooklynn Deanne Oden, one of the employees, went back to the window to see if it was really him. "We asked if he was Matthew McConaughey and he said he was his brother!" She told KTXS. "So we started talking too him some more and he finally says 'y'all don't still think I'm his brother do you?'"

The star promised to say his famous catchphrase from the movie Dazed and Confused if the employees got his food right. "He told me he would say 'alight, alright, alright' if we got his food right. So we triple checked it," Oden said. With a phone in her hand, Oden handed over the food and Actor Matthew McConaughey spoke out the famous words before driving off in his SUV.

"We were all excited because nobody famous really comes to San Angelo like that," said Oden's co-worker Elizabeth Hernandez to San Angelo LIVE! "We were just in shock. We kept talking about it when we left work."

While no one knows why the star was in San Angelo, a town about 200 miles from Austin, some speculate he was in the area visiting his brother Mike "Rooster" McCaughey, who owns LP Ranch about 45 minutes from the Whataburger.

We can only speculate what McCaughey ordered, but we bet it was "alright, alright, alright".
