Someone Set a Hilarious 'Trap' for the Texarkana Police Department

There's no doubt that the United States has entered a crucial time in our social history. We are, seemingly, as divided as ever across all sorts of lines. Sometimes what we all need is a good laugh and that is exactly what happened to the Texarkana Police Department on April 20. Playing up the cops and doughnuts stereotype, someone decided to set a little trap for the local police.

The culprits (I like to imagine it was a group of good-hearted jokesters) hung doughnuts from a tree on W 7th Street where the officers typically park for traffic enforcement duties.

The Texarkana Texas Police Department shared the photo on their Facebook page with the caption:

OK... We can't stop laughing. Someone left these for us on W. 7th Street where our officers occasionally park to work traffic enforcement.

If it is a trap, it might have almost worked. We had to muster all our willpower but somehow managed to avoid the temptation. ???

To whomever left these, thank you. We didn't eat the donuts but are really enjoying the smile that it put on our faces.

So the next time you need a little brightness in the world, just remember this doughnut trap. And when you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on. Or string doughnuts on it and wear it like a necklace. The choice, my friend, is yours.
