It's here! New Topo Chico Hard Seltzer is hitting shelves this month and we can't wait. According to global brewer Molson Coors, the new products will be on shelves on March 29, perfect for spring weather.
Topo Chico Hard Seltzer will come in four flavors: Tangy Lemon Lime, Exotic Pineapple, Strawberry Guava, and Tropical Mango. It's also gluten-free and has only 100 calories with two grams of sugar, and 4.7-percent ABV per 12-ounce can.
The drinks will be available in Texas along with Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Oregon, plus six metro areas including Boston, Chicago, New York City, Northern New Jersey, Seattle / Vancouver, Washington, and Washington D.C.

Get ready, the Coca-Cola Company is joining the hard seltzer market. According to a press release, Coca-Cola is planning on launching a new Topo Chico Hard Seltzer and we can't wait to get our hands on it. But before you get too excited and start to head to the store, the United States won't be the first place to try the alcoholic sparkling mineral water. According to Coke, the new product will launch in select cities in Latin America before hitting American cities and grocery stores in 2021.
"The Coca-Cola Company is committed to exploring new products in dynamic beverage categories, including hard seltzer, " the company said in a news release. "Topo Chico Hard Seltzer is an experimental drink inspired by Topo Chico sparkling mineral water, which has been popular with many mixologists."
Topo Chico Launches Hard Seltzer Drink
The sparkling water has been a Texas cult-favorite for years, equating its popularity to the popular West Texas Ranch Water cocktail made with tequila, lime juice, and Topo Chico. Since acquired by beverage giant Coca-Cola in 2017, the Topo Chico brand has gained popularity across the United States.
According to Nielsen, "More than 65 brands are now fighting for consumers' attention and purchase." It seems like a new spiked seltzer is hitting the shelves every week. "Within the hugely successful and growing hard seltzer segment, new and 'old' brands alike can succeed even if their market share is relatively small or declining, because the total pool of sales of hard seltzer within US retail is growing at such a high rate," Danelle Kosmal, VP of Beverage Alcohol at Nielsen, told CNN Business.
The Topo Chico Hard Seltzer will be joining the hard seltzer brand ranks among White Claw and Anheuser-Busch's Bud Light Seltzer. According to the label, the alcoholic beverage will feature a tangy lemon-lime flavor. There's no information yet on the alcohol content.
