There's nothing better than spending a warm summer day chilling in the backyard with some food one the grill. Corn, burgers, kabobs, and even romaine lettuce all taste better when cooked on the grill. Purchasing a kamado grill, however, can be pricey. But what if I told you that you could have the the grill you want at a lower cost and all you need are a couple of terracotta flower pots?
Cook with Meat is here to show us how to turn two ordinary terracotta flower pots into a usable kamado grill. Start off by drilling holes in the flower pot, then turning your baking springform pan into a grate, you have the base of a grill.
You'll want to have a tight seal between grill and lid so wrap a fireproof gasket around the top of the pot, then drill a handle on the bottom of your second flower pot. Next, drill in a thermometer and you're ready to get cooking.
Take a look and see how it's done.
Pretty insane, right? Looks like the idea of a terracotta oven just reached a whole new level of awesome.
When you invite your friends for a cookout full of killer food and a competitive round of Chippo, they won't be able to stop awing at your new toy.
With a bit of ingenuity and tactical skill, your ordinary flower pot will be the new grill and smoker your friends can't stop talking about.
