[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hat goes better with turkey and ham than sweet potatoes topped with a crispy and sweet topping? The classic sweet potato casserole is only a hundred years old, stemming from a 1917 Angelus Marshmallow recipe booklet showing how to use marshmallows in your daily cooking. Since then the recipe has taken off as a holiday favorite and we can see why.
Since most people make the same casserole every year we decided to switch things up a little bit and share some of our favorite "non-classic" sweet potato casserole recipes. Try one out for yourself.
