The colder parts of the country might be bundling up for chilly weather and gripping hot lattes, but in the South, iced coffee season is longer than the lines at your local Starbucks. And if you like cold coffee drinks, chances are you have spent a lot of time in that queue. Starbucks bottled cold brews are a tasty way to get out of the waiting line and still have your iced coffee fix too.
For me, the basic Starbucks Frappuccino is what used to come to mind when I thought of bottled cold brew coffee from the brand. However, there is more to packaged Starbucks cold brew than I ever knew. Now, I'm here to share about all of the flavors that are waiting out there for the Bucks' lovers. From caramel macchiato to the ever-famous pumpkin spice. There are nitro brews and vanilla sweet cream, and iced lattes by the gallon. Time to drink it all in:
Best Starbucks Cold Brew
Unsweetened Cold Brews
If you like a simple coffee served cold, then this signature black cold brew is for you. Reviewers say it tastes like a medium roast blend, smooth and unbothered by acidity or any extra flavors (although it does come in vanilla sweet cream as well). The glass bottles are always ready for the mornings or an afternoon pick me up. They come with only two carbohydrates and 0g total fat. If that sounds like your no-fuss beverage, then go ahead and pick them up.
Do you appreciate the power of choosing how sweet a coffee beverage is for yourself? Prefer to buy one big bottle rather than six smaller ones? You may be perfectly suited for this dark-roast, unsweetened iced coffee. You can drink it plain over ice cubes, add some almond milk or brown sugar, really make it however you like. If you have a hankering for instant coffee served cold, this bottle is for you.
Sweetened Nitro Cold Brews and Concentrates
Maybe you're like me, and your mouth came with a sweet tooth. A good mocha coffee has never been a bad idea. Plus, nitro brews offer a little extra something-something when it comes to the texture of your beverage. A gentle shake of this can before popping the nitrogen tab makes a creamy, velvet-like cold foam drink that will satisfy your chocolate crazes and caffeine cravings.
If you enjoy the jittery jump a cup of nitro joe provides, but you aren't big on chocolate, there is still a Starbucks cold brew for you. Vanilla sweet cream is a popular flavor for those dedicated fans who drink Pike Place coffee whenever and wherever they can find it. No artificial vanilla syrup here, the flavor of this cold brew comes directly from natural flavors and sweet cream. Pop the tab and get ready for lift-off.
In addition to the ready-to-drink cold brews, Starbucks offers bottles of iced coffee concentrate. The bottle comes in unsweetened black cold brew, but it also comes in decadent flavors such as Madagascar vanilla and white chocolate mocha. Also, there is this not-so-dark caramel dolce that needs only a bit of water, milk, or cream to become an afternoon treat or morning delight. If you like bulk-buying the sweet stuff, stick with these.
Iced Espresso from Starbucks
Because of a different brewing method, technically, these espresso beverages are not Starbucks cold brew. However, they are still considered part of the Starbucks store's cold coffee lines. If you play a little bit outside of the box too, a Doubleshot espresso is your match. Drink it out of the can or over ice. One can is the full serving size, but you probably won't need any more caffeine after that.
Pumpkin cream cold brew is an in-house favorite at Starbucks, right along with pumpkin spiced lattes. If you like to get a fix of seasonal flavors without having to go into the store, these iced latte cold brews are the ticket to becoming your own barista. Individually bottled for your convenience, this limited-edition flavor is as special as you are. Cherish the flavors of nutmeg and cinnamon-- they only come around once a year.
Unfortunately for decaf drinkers, Starbucks hasn't added an un-caffeinated option to their menu of cold brews. Ground coffee from Pike Place and Starbucks K-Cups do have decaf brews that can be served over ice. However it is you drink your bean juice, enjoy it!
