This Spiced Sugar is a great staple to keep in the kitchen all year long. Add it on top of muffins, sprinkle some in your coffee, and enjoy on a piece of buttered toast.
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
- In a small bowl combine the sugar and cinnamon. Using a microplane or grater grate 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg into the bowl. Stir to combine. Let sit three days for the flavors to become stronger.
This sugar pairs great with hot drinks, on toast and even on cooked fruit. Keep in a sealed container in the cupboard or pantry.
