Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie

There's nothing better than chocolate chip cookies. But what about a giant one? Taste this Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie and top it with ice cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350ºF. In a large bowl with an electric mixer cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one and a time, scraping down between each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Pour into butter mixture and stir to combine. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Spread the mixture into a 10-inch cast iron skillet and bake until golden brown, about 35 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.

Notes

Serve this giant cookie with ice cream, whipped cream, and hot fudge!
If you do not have a 10-inch skillet, use a 10-inch cake pan instead.
