Fans have always loved how real and relatable the Pioneer Woman is, from her sense of humor when things go awry to the sneak peeks of the lovable Drummond family. Currently Ree and Ladd Drummond are having some quality time together on a vacation in Colorado, and we're loving her sweet and funny updates.
Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond and her husband Ladd, parents to Paige, Bryce, Jamar, Todd and Alex Drummond, have always been one of the cutest celebrity couples. She and her cattle rancher hubby have the cutest love story, from his nickname "Marlboro man" to the story of their first time meeting.
A Couple's Vacation
The couple's spark appears to be as alive as ever on their trip to Vail, Colorado, and both seem to be enjoying a break from ranching and running The Food Network. Ree Drummond has shared two blog posts about their time together, along with updates on her social media account, and fans are loving it.
On her first Instagram post about the trip, she posted a selfie of the two, saying "Last time Ladd and I tried to go to Colorado together, there was this really bad accident involving a fire truck and we didn't make it. So my answer to the question 'How happy are you to be in Colorado with your husband right now?' would most definitely be this: Happy. So very, very, extremely, through-the-roof, over the moon happy," she wrote in her caption, finishing off her sentimental message with a joke, "(Until he makes me hike up the Berry Picker trail with him later this week, then I will leave his butt on the mountain and drive back to Oklahoma by myself.)"
The accident she's referring to occurred in March, when Ree Drummond's husband Ladd and his nephew Caleb were in a head-on collision when responding to a fire near their Pawhuska, Oklahoma ranch. Caleb had a few minor injuries, and Ladd broke his neck in two places. At the Pioneer Woman's daughter Alex's wedding to her college sweetheart Mauricio Scott, we saw pics of Ladd in his neckbrace, so we're happy to see him recovering and neckbrace-free on his vacation.
So far on their trip, Ree and Ladd look to be having a fun and relaxing time. They've eaten lots of delicious meals, from gourmet pizza to a large turkey leg. The two have also been going on walks, attending church, and generally enjoying each other's company, even though Ladd Drummond won their impromptu race up the stairs.
Ree is having such a good time that she even jokes about moving to Colorado, but says "where would we put the cows?" in reference to the cattle ranch that they run at home in Oklahoma.
