Step aside Long Island Iced Tea because Texas Tea has entered the building! I mean, we're not going to completely put down Long Island Iced Tea here. If you don't know already, Texas Tea is pretty similar but has the addition of bourbon whiskey.

Texas Tea is a simple twist on this popular cocktail recipe that you'll want to serve again and again at any party or gathering. It only takes a few minutes to mix up a pitcher of our Texas Tea Recipe.

You'll start by filling a pitcher with ice along with 4 oz tequila, 4 oz rum, 4 oz vodka, 4 oz gin, 4 oz bourbon whiskey, 4 oz triple sec, 4 oz sweet and sour mix and coca-cola. That's all it takes! Now, this recipe makes two servings, but feel free to double the recipe if serving to a larger crowd.

Texas Tea Variations

Of course, we're fans of our Texas Tea recipe, however, there are some fun variations that are worth trying out.

  • Make a Dirty Texas Tea by adding in some orange juice and simple syrup to sweeten things up. Serve in an iced tea or Collins glass with ice.
  • Texans love their tea. Change things up by mixing together 1 oz tequila, 1 oz lemon juice and sweet tea in a mason jar.
  • Take our Texas Tea recipe and pour in some peach nectar, lime juice, lemon juice and peach slices for a refreshing Peach Texas Tea.
  • Add some minty fresh flavor to our Texas Tea recipe by boiling together equal parts sugar and water along with fresh mint leaves to make a mint simple syrup.
  • Steep your favorite tea bags in boiling water, cool down and add into our Texas Tea recipe. Black tea works best, but try out different flavors to see what you like best.
