Snickerdoodles
Add some cinnamon sugar goodness to your cookie jar! These Snickerdoodles are crunchy with just a hint of cinnamon sugar on top.

Ingredients
- 1cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2cups flour
- 2tsp cream of tartar
- 1tsp baking soda
- 1/4tsp salt
- 3Tbsp sugar
- 2tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400ºF and grease a cookie sheet.
- In a medium bowl with an electric mixer, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix. Add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt and incorporate.
- In a separate small bowl mix together 3 T sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough into balls and dip into the sugar mixture. Place on a greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake cookies until set, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from baking sheets and cool.
Recipe Notes
Err to the side of under baking these cookies otherwise they will become very crumbly.
Crumble up some of these cookies on ice cream for a fun dessert.
