INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 lbs flank steak, sliced thinly
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
In a bowl, toss together the sliced beef and cornstarch. Pour into slow cooker.
In the slow cooker add the sesame oil, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, chicken broth, water, and brown sugar. Stir to combine and cover, cooking on HIGH until beef is cooked through and sauce is thickened, about 5-6 hours. Serve with rice and top with green onions.
Notes
This dish makes great leftovers for the next day.
You can use 1 tsp fresh ginger in place of the ground.
