Instructions
  1. Trim excess fat from rump roast if needed and place into slow cooker. Add the beef broth, onion, and lager. Cook on low until tender, about 7 hours.
  2. Remove beef from slow cooker and slice thinly on the diagonal. Place on rolls. Add nutmeg to au jus and stir. Serve sandwiches with a cup of au jus.
Recipe Notes

The beef can also be cooked on high for 3-4 hours.

If you want to add a kick to your sandwiches, serve some horseradish on the side.
