Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chicken wings and drumettes
  • 2 lemons, zested
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 4 Tbsp melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2 Tbsp hot pepper sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400ºF and grease a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl combine lemon zest, black pepper, and salt, pressing on the zest to release the oil. Add olive oil. Add the chicken to the bowl and toss to coat. Place on baking sheet in a single layer and bake until crisp, about 45 minutes.
  • Meanwhile in a small bowl combine butter, garlic, lemon juice and hot pepper sauce. Serve alongside the chicken wings.

Notes

You can substitute a pre-made lemon pepper seasoning mix for our homemade version.
