Halloween Spider Cookies

INGREDIENTS

  • 24 sugar cookies
  • 24 whoppers
  • For The Frosting
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • white decorator's icing

Instructions

Prepare the frosting by beating the butter and powdered sugar together with an electric mixer, until well blended. Add in the vanilla extract and melted chocolate and whip. Add in 1 tablespoon of milk and whip until frosting is thick and spreadable. Add the other tablespoon of milk if necessary. Place chocolate frosting in a piping bag or plastic bag and cut off a small tip.

Decorate the cookies by piping a small amount of the chocolate frosting onto the middle of the cookie and eight legs coming from the middle. Add the whopper to the middle of the cookie and pipe two eyes with the white icing. Repeat with remaining cookies.
