It's a hot, lazy summer day and you're not anywhere near your ideal beach bar. What should you do? Fill up a kiddie pool, turn up the tunes, and fix up a pitcher of beer margaritas, which is a classic margarita meets beer cocktail. This DIY lime-a-rita recipe will have you feeling like you're relaxing ocean-side in no time. Best of all, it's a yummy cocktail recipe to make for a crowd at your next backyard BBQ or Cinco de Mayo party.
This might be the easiest of all easy recipes. You need four things: tequila, frozen limeade concentrate, light beer and lime wedges. Stir all the ingredients except the lime wedges together in a large pitcher. Add ice to mason jars or margarita glasses, then pour the liquid mix over the ice cubes. Garnish with the lime wedges and then enjoy your summer cocktail!
If you like, you can add kosher salt to the rim of the glasses. Lager-style beers work well in this lime-a-rita recipe, but any light beer will work. The recipe makes eight servings; double it for a larger crowd.
