This easy recipe is a great DIY happy hour option to use up all those leftover candy corns! Like skittles vodka, this moonshine recipe uses the candy to infuse the alcohol. Tasty and sweet, this is the perfect gift for all the foodies in your life. Just follow our candy corn moonshine tutorial and away you go!

First things first, you need to get yourself some moonshine. Back in the day moonshine was hard to come by legally, as it was created during Prohibition. Now, big distillers like Ole Smoky and Buffalo Trace, make the liqueur, making it pretty easy to head down to your local liquor store and pick up a bottle (or mason jar). Worst comes to worst you can always infuse high-proof alcohol like Everclear or if you want something a bit tamer, making a batch of candy corn vodka would be the perfect addition to your Halloween cocktail line-up.

Once you figured out your moonshine situation, mix equal parts of your candy corn and moonshine in a jar. If you are using a 16 oz mason jar, 1 1/2 cups candy corn and 1 1/2 cups moonshine is the perfect mixture for this spooky concoction.

Place the lid on tight then let the candy corn moonshine infusion sit for about a week to fully infuse. Sure, it may be tempting to grab some to make a candy corn cocktail, but you can be assured it'll be worth the wait.

After a week, strain the mixture using a strainer and coffee filter and place it in a clean jar.

This moonshine goes great with other autumn alcoholic drinks such as our apple pie moonshine recipe and our pumpkin pie moonshine recipe.
