I know it’s August, but with the return of pumpkin spice lattes just around the corner it’s the perfect time to start thinking fall. That means looking for other pumpkin-flavored food and beverage and the latest pumpkin spice thing on the market is going to blow your mind and your taste buds.
The Great Pumpkin has arrived in the form of Captain Morgan Jack-O’Blast, which is, as the name suggests, pumpkin spice rum. I think we can all agree pumpkin spice rum is the best kind of spiced rum.
Flavored rums from Captain Morgan are nothing new?the brand offers Watermelon Smash, Apple Smash, and Cannon Blast (citrus)?and the limited edition pumpkin spice rum has also been offered for the last two years during fall. This year, though, it seems like an extra kick of pumpkin flavored booze is something to be even more appreciated.
Captain Morgan Jack-O’Blast blends Caribbean rum with seasonal flavors like fresh pumpkin, cinnamon, and other spices for a tasty rum that’s just as good on its own as it is in a delightful fall-themed cocktail. Plus, the bottle, shaped like a pumpkin complete with green stem, is too cute not to buy.
Perfect for Halloween parties, football tailgates, and backyard bonfires, we’ve got some great ideas on how to use this shot of fall, including a couple of favorite cocktail recipes from the Captain himself.
Idea #1: Fall desserts. Soak some raisins or cranberries in the rum and use them in any dessert that calls for dried fruit.
Idea #2: Pour a shot of pumpkin spice rum over pumpkin ice cream or turn it into a boozy milkshake.
Idea #3: Spike your PSL (just not on your way to work, please).
Idea #4: Add to your favorite rum drinks, because pumpkin pie spice makes everything better. Try these great recipes from Captain Morgan.
