The Pioneer Woman Debuted Her Holiday Collection and These Are Our 5 Favorites

We love the Pioneer Woman here at Wide Open Eats, whether we're reading Ree on her blog or watching on her Food Network cooking show. With every recipe and episode, Ree Drummond and her family give us a peek into their daily lives filled with cattle to herd, cinnamon rolls to bake, and macaroni and cheese to whip together. Her no-fuss approach to cooking is easily copied in your own kitchen, and with her collaboration with Walmart, you can even use her cookware to help you pull off the yummy step-by-step recipes with her signature step-by-step photos. So when she announced that the 2017 Pioneer Woman collection was in stores, we knew we had to pick our favorites.

While not everyone can manage a trip to Pawhuska and the Mercantile this year, we can all have a bit of Oklahoma in our own homes. The Pioneer Woman style is gorgeous and rustic in this collection and this holiday collection is made for family meals that need a special touch.

Here are our 5 favorite items from the collection, with so many more found here.

1. The Pioneer Woman Barn Cookie Jar

No PW collection is complete with a cute cookie jar, but this year's version is the best yet. With an ode to Charlie, her beloved Basset Hound who passed away this year, this beautiful red barn is seriously pretty.

The attention to detail around the barn is stunning and it's $14.88 price tag is even better. All home cooks should have one cookie jar with personality, and this is perfect for holding those smile-inducing cookies from Ree's cookbooks. Talk about homespun humor!

2. The Pioneer Woman Winter Bouquet Pie Pan

Every serious baker who knows pie knows that a good pie pan is worth its weight in gold. As the Pioneer Woman cookware consistently bests the competition, her bakeware is a steal. For $13.78, this subtle floral design pie pan reveals itself as the pie disappears.

Speaking of pies, if you need some help deciding which to make this year, let us help you out with our favorite 11 foolproof pie recipes for your favorite holidays. Salted caramel apple pie for scrumptious celebrations, anyone?

3. The Pioneer Woman Garland 12-Piece Dinnerware Set

It can be hard to pull of a Christmas design without it seeming hokey or tacky, and the Pioneer Woman has managed to do just that. The delicate watercolor Christmas tree and poinsettia rim of this set might make you think it's not dishwasher safe, but in true Ree form, it is! Your Christmas rum cake slice will taste even better served on this.

Though this collection is offered piece by piece, with separate plates and salad plates available, the dinnerware set is only $54.96, which is a steal when you consider it comes with four dinner plates, four salad plates, and four bowls. These pretty pieces should be required at all holiday group gatherings for the special homemade treats from Pinterest.

4. The Pioneer Woman Adeline 10-Piece Punch Bowl Set

A punch bowl set is one of the things you think you won't ever need, until you do. That is to say that eventually, every family needs a punch bowl set in their cabinet for the holiday parties where everyone is eager to try out some new Thanksgiving recipes for big batch cocktails.

Don't play bartender anymore at your own shindig and whip up a punch in this beautifully detailed set for only $26.87. Entertaining doesn't have to be expensive to be sophisticated, and luckily for us, the accidental country girl knows it, too.

This bowl set isn't just for the holidays, either. Pull it out to celebrate the birth of America in the summer with watermelon sangria or whip up a tasty beer cocktail for the big game.

5. The Pioneer Woman Floral Bursts Footed Mug, Set of 4

Of course you have mugs at home, but do you have four matching footed mugs that would look adorable on Christmas morning as everyone is lounging around, sipping coffee? These footed mugs are especially useful because they keep the scalding hot bottom of your mug away from your surfaces.

For $15.88, these would make the perfect family photo opportunity and they're even cheap enough so you can buy two sets to make eight for the extended family to enjoy while they're over, too. Talk about a fantastic collection to always have on hand. Family togetherness can't be bought, but it sure can match, y'all.
