Meet The Pioneer Woman's Family

If you're a fan of the Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond, then you've probably seen Ree's kids pop up on the show. They've cooked with their mom or helped deliver treats to family and friends, and every once in a while we get a peek into their life on the farm. But lately the Pioneer Woman children have been taking up spots on the other side of the camera.

With normal filming shut down, some Food Network shows have found ways to film with their stars at home without their normal crews around. For The Pioneer Woman, whose normal crew of about 25 people is based in the UK and unable to fly to Oklahoma, that means having a film crew that's a little... closer to home.

The Food Network star has been filming her show with the whole family getting involved, including kids Paige, Alex, Todd, Bryce, and her nephew Stuart doing the work behind the camera (and some on camera, too). Most of the filming is done on iPhones, with a couple of Go Pro for a little bit of variety in shots. Ree's husband Ladd Drummond makes an appearance on the show, too, of course.

Daughter Alex has been posting video on TikTok and Ree has shared behind the scenes shots and video of their new filming process. (You really want to see the wooden spoon going up in flames.)

The family created five new episodes of the show, which are being called The Pioneer Woman: Staying Home, and then they decided to do a few more episodes called The Pioneer Woman: Home Sweet Home.

"I hope you are still enjoying the shows the kids and I are shooting. They may be a little silly at times, but they very accurately depict what things are like in our kitchen, our lives, our daily routine," Ree said on her website. "It's nice to just start cooking and see what happens--the good, the bad, and the tasty."

If you watch the show now, it's clear just how much the Pioneer Woman children have grown since the show debuted almost a decade ago. Alex graduated from Texas A&M University in 2019, while Paige Drummond is going to be a junior at the University of Arkansas. Bryce and Todd are both at Pawhuska High School, a senior and junior respectively.

You can catch the fun on the Food Network when The Pioneer Woman: Staying Home special episodes air on Saturdays at 10 a.m. EST and see what Ree Drummond shares behind the scenes on The Pioneer Woman blog.
