Pickle Ice Pops Are the Only Popsicles You Should Eat Year-Round

I love when pickle-flavored snow cones, cotton candy, chips, and even pickle-flavored shots make their arrival each summer. Move over watermelon, this is the flavor of the summer. Pickles are the best summer time snack! Biting into a pickle after spending time out in the Texas heat is such a relief for me. The pickle juice is a refreshing treat. Many summers ago, I learned why biting into a juicy dill pickle was just as good as a sip of water after playing outside.

Turns out, pickle juice has some health benefits. Pickle juice has water and sodium that replenish electrolytes that keep you hydrated. While we're out swimming, hiking, and working out this summer we're losing electrolytes. It's important to keep fluids and enough sodium in your body to stay hydrated. Passing out from dehydration is not fun! Been there done that after a workout in the Texas summer heat. After that, I started leaving jars of pickle juice in the fridge.

Instead of throwing out pickle jars after the pickles were all eaten, I kept the juice in the fridge. For additional electrolytes and to relieve leg cramps, I drank pickle juice. Although, I wish I had Van Holten's Pickle-Ice Freeze Pops to endure those hot summers! It would've saved so much fridge room since I was hoarding pickle juice. (Sorry mom.)

Van Holten's Pickle Ice-Freeze Pops are portable 2 ounce popsicles. They're filled with all components for dehydration recovery. Essential minerals included are sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium.

This is a great summer treat for kids who need to replenish electrolytes after playing outside! Maybe give those sugar-filled popsicles a break and try these pickle popsicles out. Hey parents, if you're in charge of bringing snacks to this week's baseball or soccer game, here you go! These pickle pops will be a hit. Throw them in a portable cooler to keep them frozen. For my river rats, this is what you need to throw in your cooler.

I know your cooler is going to be full of cheap beer, but make some room for some pickle-ice pops to keep you hydrated. Floating down the river can take hours, and sometimes water bottles go really fast and before you know it you're out. Van Holten's Pickle-Ice Freeze Pops will keep you feeling good in your tube! What a great snack for pickle lovers.

If making homemade ice cream isn't a summer tradition for your family, now is the the time to do it. I'll never forget the first time I made my own blizzard from home, I then begin to empathize why some Dairy Queen workers didn't flip my blizzard upside down. Sometimes, they don't come out perfect, but it's a learning experience, and also a great childhood memory of mine. The Nostalgia Electric Wood Bucket Ice Cream Maker will make up to 4-quarts of ice cream. Try out a pickle-flavored ice cream recipe.

Where To Find Pickle-Flavored Freeze Pops

Pickle-flavored popsicles are available at convenience stores and Walmart. Next time you go road tripping, grab a pickle-ice pop instead of some chips. Well, I mean if they're pickle chips grab those too. Since pickle juice hydrates you, will I even have a hangover from pickle shots? It should cancel out, right? Like PEMDAS from 5th grade math class, you know? Maybe not, just to be sure I'll keep some water, Tylenol, and Van Holten's Ice Freeze Pops stocked.
