Being CTO means you are in a prestigious position. Just think of the power, the influence, the tacos… if you’re Chief Taco Officer, that is. And now Moe’s Southwest Grill is giving you a chance to live your dream job as Chief Taco Officer in order to help the chain introduce its newest menu item, Three Amigos tacos.
It is a temporary position — only two weeks — but for those two weeks, the Chief Taco Officer will travel the country as a member of the Moe’s team on a Taco Tour handing out free Three Amigos tacos to fans. Perks of this high-powered job include all-you-can-eat tacos, a visit to Moe’s Test Kitchen in Atlanta, Georgia, and so much free swag, plus a $1000 CTO Fun Budget.
“At Moe’s, we’re always looking for ways to engage with our fans whether it’s helping name a new menu item, showing them a behind-the-scenes look into our culinary innovation or just rewarding them for being rock star brand ambassadors,” said Bruce Schroder, president of Moe’s Southwest Grill. “We wanted to take this engagement to the next level and there is no better way to do that than appoint our biggest taco fanatic to Chief Taco Officer and help spread the word about for our newest menu item – Three Amigos tacos.”
You’re qualified for the job if you love tacos, are Moe’s biggest fan, and have rock star social media skills. Moe’s is partnering with Monster.com for the CTO hunt. If you’re interested, here’s what you need to do. First, sign up for the Moe’s app to be a Rockin’ Rewards member and then tell the world why you would be a good Chief Taco Officer on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with the hashtag #MoesCTOContest.
Entries will be accepted through April 20. After that, Moe’s will choose three finalists, who will be announced on May 7. Then fans can vote for their favorite CTO candidate using a unique hashtag; the finalist with the most votes will be appointed Moe’s Chief Taco Officer on May 21.
The new tacos, which come in chicken, steak, and carnitas, are a unique street-style taco inspired by Southwest cuisine, said Ciarán Duffy, Moe’s executive chef.
The Taco Tour starts on June 1; you can follow their website and #MoesCTO to find out where the food truck will be stopping.
