Margarita Trucks are Hitting San Antonio Streets

Ring ring, do you hear that? It's not the ice cream truck, no, it's a truck that is so much better! According to KSAT, Chef Johnny Hernandez of San Antonio is launching margarita trucks. No, you aren't dreaming and you read that right. Beginning today the pink trucks will deliver La Gloria's signature margaritas and menu items straight to your front door.

According to the release, the first truck will deliver within 3 miles of Crockett Park in downtown San Antonio. However, by June, more trucks will be available to deliver all around the city.

Today, safety is top of mind for everyone, and many of our customers are simply not ready to dine out; however, we know that doesn't mean they don't crave one of our famous margaritas. Delivering to our customers' homes does not only make enjoying our signature margaritas safer and more convenient, but this new avenue of serving our customers also helps to rebuild our business, in turn allowing us to hire back more members of our team.

When it came to adapting their business due to coronavirus, Chef Johnny Hernandez knew a mobile margarita truck was just the ticket.

The margarita trucks will be offering drink and food packaging including Bistec Taco Kits, Al Pastor Taco Kits, Pollo Al Carbon Taco Kits, Mexican Street Corn, and chips, salsa and queso from La Gloria's retail food line. All taco kits can make up to 12 tacos. All food will be delivered cold and can be reheated in either a microwave or oven.

Before ordering know all orders require a $40 minimum for the mobile margarita truck to deliver and a $5 delivery charge will be added to all orders. All alcohol must be purchased with a food item and an ID must be shown when receiving the drinks. Orders must be placed online and Hernandez encourages guests to order a day-ahead.

Now, this is great customer service!
