If you love the taste of fried pickles and ranch, then boy, do we have some good news for you! Last year Lay's Chips introduced their line of Taste of America chips based on regions of the United States including Pimento Cheese, Deep Dish Pizza, and Cajun Spice. Some of the tastes of America chips have come and gone, however, it looks like some varieties, Lay's Fried Pickles with Ranch Chips, Lay's Deep Dish Pizza, along with 2017 Lay's "Do Us A Flavor" competition contender, Lay's Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Popper are making a comeback to a store near you.
Lay's Fried Pickles with Ranch Chips Are Back!
We are most excited about the fried pickle chips. Inspired by the State Fairs of the Midwest, the fried pickle with ranch potato chips taste just like a fried dill pickle topped with ranch dressing.

Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Popper, Deep Dish Pizza, and Fried Pickles with Ranch Lay's are back! The BWJP chips were first released as a Walmart exclusive after they were announced as one of the top ten Do Us a Flavor finalists in 2017 but did not make it to the final three. They have made a few limited edition appearances since then. The other two flavors were part of the Tastes of America flavors last summer. Deep Dish Pizza was exclusive to "the heartland and mid-America" and Fried Pickles with Ranch was exclusive to the midwest. I found all three returning flavors at Walmart.
But we also can't forget about the two other chips that have been seen on Walmart's shelves. Lay's Deep Dish Pizza is an ode to Heartland & Mid-America and tastes just like a slice of pizza. The last new bag of chips to hop back on the shelf is Lay's Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Popper, which was created by Nick Arndt of Massillon, Ohio during the 2017 Lay's "Do Us A Flavor" competition.
Each of the three new flavor bags is a part of Lay's new Smile with Lay's campaign. The company has partnered with Operation Smile, a non-profit organization that provides children with cleft lip or clef palate with life-saving surgeries at no cost. Between the dates of July 28 - Sept. 21, 2019, Lays will donate $0.01 per purchase towards the organization, with a goal of $1 million dollars. The company will be giving a minimum of $500,000 to Operation Smile no matter how many bags are sold.
Where to Buy Lay's Fried Pickles with Ranch Chips
The new pickles and ranch-flavored potato chips are available at select Sam's Club locations and Costco locations, while Target and Walmart sell all three bags. But you better act fast, there's no saying how long these chips will last.
