The KRUPS is a pump espresso machine. It uses Thermoblock technology to heat fluid from the water tank at two different temperatures (steaming and brewing). This process generates the pressure needed to make the base of your specialty coffee drinks: a rich, high-quality shot of spro'.
In addition to making great espresso, the KRUPS machine has a stainless steel steam nozzle that will foam your creamer into pillowy piles. Although it isn't a programmable/automatic coffee maker, there are only three settings on the KRUPS's touchscreen face, so it's very easy to use.

This reviewer really nailed the durability of the KRUPS machine. Sarah S. has been using her KRUPS since before I was old enough to start drinking coffee. Sounds reliable to me, but fortunately, KRUPS has a 10-year warranty in case something goes wrong.

The cost of an espresso machine can really get up there if you're not careful. Even KRUPS has one maker that's over $500! Fortunately, brands like Delonghi, Breville, and Nespresso have arrived on the market with some affordable options. Personally, I'll agree with Dave M.: KRUPS is the best bang for your buck.
