Since 1949, the Kiolbassa family has been dedicated to producing hand-crafted sausages. It all started in San Antonio, Texas by a man named Rufus Kiolbassa who had the vision to start a company creating the finest quality products. Starting by creating big and bold sausages in only small batches, Kiolbassa Sausages have always been delicious and a favorite on the table. Word got around quickly and Kiolbassa Provision Company began selling smoked meats around San Antonio. Folks couldn't get enough of the quality and bold flavor and sure enough, Kiolbassa Sausages and meats were being sold in other places beyond San Antonio.
Sadly, in 1960, Rufus Kiolbassa passed away, leaving the family business to his wife, Juanita Kiolbassa and their three children. His son, Robert then took over the company after Rufus passed. Robert always remembered how important quality was to his father. After all, that's what most people remember about some of their favorite food products.
Keeping those same high-quality standards as his father, Robert continued the family business making some of the best sausages using the finest meats and spices. They also pride themselves in avoiding the addition of added nitrates and MSG, which is pretty awesome.
Of course, the company grew, even more, adding Robert's sister, Sandra to the team as well as Robert's son, Michael. Michael Kiolbassa, now Kiolbassa Provision Company's president, continues to grow the business and has plans to distribute their sausages beyond just 50 states.
