Joanna Gaines, the maven of home renovation and all things local and country cool, posted the cutest picture on Instagram and Twitter today in celebration of her birthday and it's everything.
The HGTV star turns 40 today. She posted a photo of herself gleefully eating doughnuts with the caption: "This is 40. And I like it... #pregnantandforty#anddoughnuts"
There's so much to unpack in this gorgeous post. First, what a great way to celebrate a birthday. I can't think of a better way to mark a milestone day than that awesome giant plate of doughnuts she's got there.
Second, what a great reaction to turning 40. She's obviously having a blast with her life right now and it shows in this picture. In a cute twist, her husband Chip Gaines has posted a sort of birthday present/challenge over on Twitter.

Since she started the day with around 994,000 followers, that means a possible $6000 or so donation to St. Jude's Children Hospital, which is a great gift all around. As of last check, Gaines was up to around 998,000 followers.
Finally, can I get a big "Awwww" over her adorable baby bump? We've gotten a little bit of detail from Gaines during her pregnancy, but this picture is one of the first baby bump photos Gaines has posted on her own Instagram feed and it's just so cute.
It's been a big twelve months for Joanna, Chip, and their family since her last birthday. Their hit show Fixer Upper ended its five year run just a couple of weeks ago. Their new restaurant Magnolia Table opened its doors in March and, of course, the biggest news of all, Joanna and Chip are expecting their fifth child sometime soon.
