If you need a little bit of happy news today, Chip and Joanna Gaines' baby has arrived. The couple welcomed their fifth child this weekend and posted the first photo of their newborn son announcing his name and giving us a sweet behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Gaines family with a few other adorable photos.
The stars of HGTV's Fixer Upper revealed they were having their fifth child back in January shortly after they announced the show was ending. The pregnancy, which was a happy surprise, didn't figure into the decision to end the show. Joanna told People, "But when we found out, it solidified that it was the right decision to leave when we did."
New baby boy Crew Gaines apparently couldn't wait to get here — he was two and a half weeks early.
We all know that Joanna and Chip are an amazing couple and nowhere is that more evident than this sweet picture she posted of Chip coaching her through a contraction.
Chip announced the arrival of baby Crew via Twitter on Saturday.
And then there were 5.. The Gaines crew is now 1 stronger! 10 beautiful toes and 10 beautiful fingers all accounted for, and big momma is doing great! #blessedBeyondBelief

And the rest of the family was excited to meet him as well. Joanna posted this picture of siblings Duke, Drake, Ella Rose, and Emmie Kay waiting outside the hospital room for their chance to see their new baby brother.
Joanna and Chip broke tradition with the name. Their other two boys have names that start with "D" (both the girls names start with "E") and Chip joked before that they were having trouble finding another "D" name.
We love the name and little Crew is adorable, especially in this cute picture of him snuggling with mama.
