Homemade Evaporated Milk
This simple recipe makes evaporated milk fast!
- 3 1/4 cups full-fat milk
- Add the milk to a heavy non-stick pan, set to medium, and bring to a simmer. Once simmering, bring to medium-low and let simmer gently, stirring every so often to prevent the milk from scorching at the bottom.
- Simmer the milk until reduced by about half (1 1/2 cups), about 25 minutes. Strain the milk through a sieve to remove any skin and let cool completely.
