Heinz Mayochup Combines Everything You Want on a Burger

That's right, grab your hot dog buns and hamburger patties, Heinz, the company who has been sharing their delicious ketchup with us since the late 1800's, just dropped their newest product in the American market. Heinz Mayochup, which is a combination sauce of (can you guess) Heinz mayonnaise and Heinz ketchup created quite the stir only a few months ago on social media. Back in April, the brand asked their American consumers if they would try a combination sauce they had already introduced in Middle Eastern countries. The saucy Americans answered with a resounding, "Yes".

Asking their consumers what they want is what the Heinz family does best. Today the company asked for the United States to tweet in their suggestion of the first city to try out the new Heinz Mayochup sauce. The choices include Brooklyn, Culver City, Chicago and "Your City". The winning city will receive a food truck takeover complete with free samples of the product and buckets of french fries to drizzle.

"After seeing the unprecedented passion surrounding this product, including the nearly one million votes on social media and 500,000 votes in favor of bringing it stateside, launching Mayochup in the U.S. was a no-brainer," said Nicole Kulwicki, Director of Marketing for Heinz. "We're excited to officially welcome Heinz Mayochup sauce to the Heinz family of products, including ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce and our most recent addition, Heinz mayonnaise."

While the ingredients are simply mayonnaise and ketchup, this sauce is nothing new to some homes. Residents in Utah already have this sauce, named fry sauce, in bottles lining the grocery store shelves. And Puerto Ricans have their own version named, "mayoketchup".

The Mayochup sauce is available in 16.5 oz. squeeze bottles at a suggested retail price of $3.49 at locations such as Walmart, Kroger, Bi-Lo, Giant Eagle and even Amazon.
