Guy Fieri's Downtown Flavortown Lands in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Put on your backward sunglasses and your favorite bowling shirt, Guy Fieri's Downtown Flavortown is officially open! FACE Amusement Group and the Mayor of Flavortown officially opened Guy Fieri's Downtown Flavortown (2655 Teaster Lane Suite 100) at the Mountain Mile Shopping Complex located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee only minutes away from the Great Smoky Wheel and Dolly Parton's Stampede. In partnership with famed chef, author, and Emmy Award-winning television personality Guy Fieri, the impressive 43,000-square-foot family entertainment center is destined to become a "must-do" option for Pigeon Forge visitors and locals alike.

Fieri and his whole family (including his All-American Roadtrip camera crew) were in attendance to cut the ribbon and welcome the city of Pigeon Forge to Flavortown.

Addressing the crowd, Fieri joked that he didn't even realize what an impact the word "Flavortown" would have.

"[Flavortown] started as a one-liner." He states, pointing out Anthony Rodriguez, who's been the Director of Photographer for Drive-ins, Diners, and Dives since the beginning. "One day we are just shooting this joint on Triple D and I've got this big pizza in front of me and I said, 'This looks like a steering wheel and the bus is going to Flavor town.' That was it.

Fieri goes on, "Two months later we're in the airport and someone yells out, 'Flavortown!' I thought, weirdo, and moved on...It starts happening again and I finally look at Chico [Rodriguez] and I go, 'What's going on?' He said, 'Don't you remember you're driving the bus to Flavortown?" Fieri noted that it was the fans who really brought the catchphrase "Flavortown" to life. "The fans are the ones that made Flavortown a reality," He motions towards the large sign illumination behind him.

Once the ribbon was cut, guests were allowed inside to explore Flavortown.

The one-of-a-kind entertainment complex has everything, including a 14-lane Duck Pin bowling alley; over 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art arcade games ranging from redemption to virtual reality and beyond; a full-service Freaky Tiki bar, and a photo opportunity in front of an iconic 1968 Chevy Camaro, so you too can feel like Chef Guy Fieri on his Food Network show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.

There's also a 300+ seat restaurant that will showcase Fieri's famous culinary combinations, including his famous Trash Can Nachos served Motley Que BBQ-style in a tin tower stuffed with corn tortilla chips, house-made pork, melty cheese, black beans, cilantro, and pico de Gallo. Also on the menu will be the award-winning Bacon Mac 'N' Cheeseburger, with crispy applewood bacon, six-cheese mac 'n' cheese, onion straws, LTOP (lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle), SMC (super melty cheese), and donkey sauce, all stacked on a garlic-buttered brioche bun.

The restaurant also features four Outta Bound Waffles, Including a Spaghetti Meatball Waffle which I got to personally try while visiting. This waffle is an absolute masterpiece from its garlic-bread waffle batter to the al dente spaghetti noodles encased in the waffle. It was one of the wildest things I've ever eaten and I had to stop myself from going back for seconds.

This is Fieri's second restaurant in the smokies area, with his first being Chicken Guy! located in Gatlinburg where he serves up chicken tenders, salads, fries, and signature sauces.

In addition, a full premium bar called the Freaky Tiki bar includes an extensive selection of liquors (including Santo Tequila Blanco which Fieri created with Sammy Hagar), wines, and bottled and craft beers.
