Guy Fieri Feeds Response Crews of California Wildfires

Guy Fieri is a real good guy, he's raised more than $20 million dollars for restaurant employees displaced by coronavirus, he's officiated 101 LGBTQIA weddings in honor of his late sister, and most recently, the celebrity chef helped feed the first responders of Northern California as they battle the LNU Lightning Complex fires which have already burned 375,209 acres near Napa Valley.

Guy Fieri Cooks For Response Crews of California Wildfires

This isn't the first time Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri had helped with California wildfires. In October 2017, the Food Network Star cooked thousands of meals in a makeshift kitchen to help wildfire evacuees and first responders in his hometown of Santa Rosa, California. Before becoming the host of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, Guy Fierico-owned the former Johnny's Garlic's and Tex Wasabi's restaurants in Santa Rosa. Then in 2006, he won the Next Food Network Star competition, which catapulted him into the chef he is today. Guy Fieri still lives in the area.

According to the Press Democrat, the first responders received "grilled chicken, Mojo pork, rice, salads boasting fresh Sonoma County veggies, a roll, and ice cream packed onto a compostable clamshell container." According to Fieri, the first responders are used to 4,000 calorie boxes to help them get through long and grueling shifts. The chefs all wore masks to keep with COVID-19 health guidelines.

Last year the celebrity chef joined Food Network star Tyler Florence and World Central Kitchen (José Andrés' organization) in providing meals to those displaced by the Kincade Fire, which destroyed over 86 homes. In 2018 Guy Fieri helped make Thanksgiving dinner for victims and first responders of the Camp Fire, which practically took out the entire town of Paradise.

Is Guy Fieri the mayor of Flavortown? Heck, yes, he wins our vote. Charitable, a great cook, and best friends with Matthew McConaughey? Check, check, and check the ballot.
