Guacamole Cheese Actually Exists and Your Nachos Have Never Been Better

Your nachos just got a complete upgrade. No longer do you have to make a separate bowl of guacamole to top your nachos. Amanti Guacamole Cheese, sold exclusively at The Fresh Market, brings tasty guacamole and creamy cheese together to create a one-of-a-kind snack. The gouda style cheese is produced by Dutch cheese company Daily Dairy and features a blend of avocado, lime juice, a touch of chili, tomato, garlic, and onion. It's everything you would expect from authentic Mexican guacamole with a slight cheesy twist.

The Fresh Market suggests cheese-lovers shred the cheese over tortilla chips to make a mean plate of nachos or add it some melted queso to add an avocado punch. You can always eat it on its own, we won't judge.

Is It Healthy?

While avocados are high in unsaturated fats, it seems like cutting off a wedge of this cheese won't do your waistline any favors. A one-ounce serving of the cheese will set you back 110 calories and 30% of your daily saturated fat allowance.

But are you really eating this gauca-cheese as a health-alternative?

No. If that's your plan, I suggest grabbing some real avocados and sticking with tried and true guacamole and salsa. This cow's milk gouda isn't fooling anyone-it's celebrating cheese.

And as expected, some people are totally pissed off that someone would even think to combine guacamole and cheese.

To each their own. We'll let you figure out if you love it or hate it. Who knows, it might be the beginning of a new food trend.

The gouda cheese is now available at the grocery chain, just in time for your Cinco de Mayo party. You can pick up a wedge of cheese for $24.99 per pound, with smaller wedges available if you so desire.
