Thankfully there are no confirmed cases of E. coli as of the time of writing. Possible E. coli contamination can cause dehydration, bloody diarrhea and abdominal cramps 2-8 days after exposure. Most recover in a week, however children under 5 years old and older adults can develop hemolytic uremic syndrome, a type of kidney failure. People who experience symptoms such as easy bruising and decreased urine output should seek medical help immediately.
