Those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities often have to cut out various foods from their diets, some as delicious and beloved as pizza or burgers. Oreo cookies are no exception, but this year, Nabisco came out with a version that everyone can enjoy- gluten free Oreos!
Oreos were already one of the best cookies for those with food restrictions, since their yummy vanilla creme and chocolate combo can be enjoyed by vegetarians and vegans. Now, Milk's Favorite Cookie are available for those on gluten free diets.
Gluten Free Oreos
Oreo Gluten Free Chocolate Sandwich Cookies taste the same as regular Oreo Cookies, and contain real cocoa and gluten free flour. These tasty cookies are made of sugar, white rice flour, tapioca starch, palm oil, canola oil, whole oat flour, cornstarch, cocoa (processed with alkali), invert sugar, soy lecithin, baking soda, salt, xanthan gum, chocolate, and artificial flavor.
The only potential allergen mentioned in the disclaimer is soy, but otherwise these classic cookies can be enjoyed by all. The best part is, Nabisco came out with gluten free Oreo Double Stuf cookies as well, for those who want that extra layer of vanilla creme to soak up their milk.
When searching for these, just check the product label on the resealable packs for the words "Gluten Free." You can find this version of the regular Oreos and Double Stuff Oreos in grocery stores and other retailers like Amazon and Walmart.
This new version of our favorite cookie is just as dunk-able as the originals, and will do just as well in an Oreo cookie crust for ice cream cake or cheesecake. Those with celiac disease and gluten allergies can finally enjoy Oreos without sacrificing their wellness!
