Every year QSR (Quick-Service Restaurant) magazine shares their review of the top 50 fast food chains in the United States and this year is no different. According to the magazine, this year's top 50 was harder to calculate than last year due to the coronavirus and its effect on sales. So instead of reading this list as a status report, QRS shares that the list should be looked at as a baseline for the future. McDonald's and Starbucks took positions one and two, and as the two biggest fast food chains in the United States, it's pretty much unsurprising. However, the number three spot showed how important customer service is, especially during a global pandemic.
Chick-fil-A Named Number 3 Fast Food Chain in America
Restaurant chains learned quickly during the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic that nothing is more important than customer service. The Atlanta-based chicken chain quickly shifted to an all-drive-thru model when dining rooms were shut down, quickly getting orders out to cars and offering social distancing options such as mobile ordering and delivery. Early in the year the chain also added Family Meal Bundles to their line-up, making it easy to order bulk entrees, sides, and beverages.
Chick-fil-A has also been sharing fun ideas and entertainment options online via social media. They launched their Nightly Nuggets series in April, sharing recipes that use Chick-fil-A menu items.
