How to Make an Instagram-Worthy Smoothie Bowl Earth Andy Style

Earth Andy is undeniably a master of the smoothie bowl. Anyone who has ever scrolled through her Instagram feed or searched #smoothiebowls knows precisely what I mean. Her quintessential picture perfect bowls look so appetizing it's hard to believe they're even real. One can't help but wonder how does she do it? Well, she'll show you.

Revealing her tips on tricking out a smoothie bowl, she reveals precisely how to make one using raw organic maqui berry powder and a few other fresh ingredients. Follow her steps, and you too can have an instagram-worthy smoothie bowl that has viewers drooling. Take a look:

The key here is using a mix of tropical fruits and frozen ingredients. The colder the ingredients being blended, the thicker the bowl. Oh, and I should also mention you need a high powered blender. Every time I've made smoothie or acai bowls they always wind up a little too watery for my liking because my blender at the moment, in lack of better words, sucks.

To do as Earth Andy does, add frozen organic bananas, frozen blueberries, almond milk, maqui powder, and fresh mangoes to the blender. Throughout the process you'll need to blend and mash repeatedly. This process is two-fold. It will integrate all your ingredients and keep the thick consistency you desire. Once you reach a thick smooth swirl, you're ready to build your bowl.

Building the bowl is all about presentation. To begin, pour the smoothie base into a large bowl and add your toppings - coconut bowls add an extra decorative flare. Rim the outside of the bowl with sliced strawberries and bananas. Then, use some funky tropical fruits like halved rambutan, fresh mango, and dragon fruit to really make it pop. Fill in gaps with some crunchy granola, top with a sprinkle of coconut flakes, and add a handful of blueberries for a burst of flavor and color. Of course, if you really want to treat yourself you can add a dollop of vegan fudge.

Now that you know how to make an instagram-worthy smoothie bowl, have fun with it! Try a variety of fruits in varying colors. The more tropical they are, the more enticing the bowl. Did we also mention they're as delicious as they look?
