If you're lucky enough to live in a town with a Dunkin' Donuts, you'll want to walk, not run to the store today to pick up a free sample of their new frozen coffee drink. Replacing the Coolatta, much to everyone's dismay, the new Frozen Dunkin' Coffee is basically an iced coffee run through a blender to a slushy consistency. Why wouldn't you want a coffee slush, especially in the summertime?
Show up today, May 19, between 10 AM and 2 PM, and you'll be given a free sample of the new drink to try!
The Coolatta and its many variations were dropped in a movement toward a healthier lineup of drinks at DD. The new Frozen Dunkin' Coffee, according to a press release, is made with a pure coffee extract from 100% Arabica coffee. The drink is blended with ice and a dairy of your choice for a creamy consistency.
You can add any flavor shot or swirl to the beverage so in my case, that would mean Blueberry because everyone knows the Blueberry Iced Coffee is just New England in a cup, or as close as you'll get in Texas. The coffee extract in the drink was designed to seamlessly blend with any flavor you could add.
Don't forget, too, that Butter Pecan and Coconut Crème Pie flavors are available at DD right now for the summer.
Chris Fuqua, Senior Vice President of Dunkin' Donuts Brand Marketing & Global Consumer Insights & Product Innovation, said of the new beverage:
"This is the frozen beverage for people who love coffee ... As one of the world's leading coffee brands, Frozen Dunkin' Coffee represents an important addition to our coffee menu, and we're excited to keep our guests running with this new frozen beverage inspired by our iconic Original Blend Coffee."
So what are you waiting for?
