If there's one thing you have to give the Girl Scouts credit for, it's their impeccable timing. It's no mistake February 23 through February 25 is National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend and thankfully, it happens right in the middle of one of the bleaker winter months. Maybe the reason we've all come to love the cookies so much is that they're a bright spot, something to look forward to, as the winter continues. It seems like Dunkin' Donuts knows that, too.
In honor of the delicious taste of the classic cookies, Dunkin' Donuts is debuting three new coffee flavors inspired by the iconic Girl Scout Cookie varieties. Thin Mints, Coconut Caramel, and Peanut Butter Cookie will be available in participating Dunkin' Donuts locations by Monday, February 26 and served nationwide through May.
The Thin Mints flavored coffee has the same beloved cookie's combination of cool mint and decadent chocolate. Coconut Caramel flavored coffee brings toasted coconut together with the perfect pairing of creamy caramel. For the final new flavor, Dunkin' Donuts created the first-ever coffee featuring peanut butter without allergens.
Patty Healy, Senior Director of Integrated Marketing at Dunkin' Donuts stated,
"Our guests have come to expect and enjoy fun, innovative flavors from us, and what could elicit more smiles than the iconic taste of Girl Scout Cookie inspired flavors in your favorite Dunkin' Donuts coffee? It's a natural fit and a powerful combination. We are especially proud that our franchisees, many of whom are small business owners themselves, are committed to fueling the entrepreneurial spirit of the Girl Scouts by welcoming local troops to sell cookies at their restaurants."
Dunkin' Donuts announced the news from the birthplace of Girl Scouts of the USA in Savannah, Georgia. Additionally, select Dunkin' Donuts restaurants will open their doors to local Girl Scout troops for cookie sales at Dunkin' Donuts on weekends from February 24 through March 18.
