Last year Whataburger introduced a new limited-time Dr Pepper shake that turned Texas on its head. Now its back and the timing couldn't be any more perfect. We'll take any good news we can these days while Covid-19 knocks on our doors.
Whataburger Brings Back its Famous Dr Pepper Shake
Last year I got to taste the shake, and by golly, I could not get enough of it.
Last year the Dr Pepper milkshake was available in parts of Texas as well as Oklahoma and Arkansas. While Whataburger locations in West Texas, Arizona, or New Mexico did not get to taste the shake, they were awarded their own menu item, the Root Beer Shake. Locations in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, or Louisiana got to try out the Salted Caramel Shake. While the latter two shakes have not been announced, lucky Texans can head to their nearest drive-thru and pick up the ice cream shake either in the drive-thru or through curbside service.
Along with the ice cream shake packed with classic Dr Pepper flavor, guests in the Lone Star State can pick up two new sandwiches to complete their meal. The new Avocado Bacon Chicken Club starts with premium grilled chicken, topped with fresh leaf lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado, combined with three strips of smoky bacon, a slice of Monterey Jack and our famous Whatasauce, all on a 4" glazed wheat bun.
The second sandwich is a new BBQ Bacon Burger. This hefty sandwich has three slices of savory bacon, smoked cheddar, and Monterey Jack - paired with two of Whataburger's 100% fresh, pure beef patties and a smoky tangy BBQ sauce, all atop a 5" bun.
All three menu items are only available for a limited time, so get them while you can!
