New Dollywood Flower & Food Festival is Coming Spring 2020

Time to curl your hair, pull on your cowboy boots, and get your stomach ready. The Dollywood Flower and Food Festival is coming in spring 2020 and we cannot wait to share with you the sweet smells of spring flowers and all the Smoky Mountain cuisine your stomach can handle.

The New Dollywood Flower & Food Festival

Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is going all out to celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2020 with a brand new festival to celebrate the natural beauty and food of the Smoky Mountains. From May 8-June 14 guests can enjoy a wondrous time walking through the park admiring flower and plant displays of Dolly Parton's favorite animal friends and tributes to popular Dolly Parton songs including"I Will Always Love You", a floral heart umbrella and "Coat of Many Colors", "a butterfly and a scenic sculpture of her mother sewing the garment" according to the theme park press release. Each display in the inaugural Flower and Food Festival is created by none other than the mosaicultures flower sculpting team.

Along with taking photos with the topiary tributes, guests will also get the chance to snap a selfie with an interactive display called "Umbrella Sky" located at Showstreet. The display will feature hundreds of colorful umbrellas hung over the pathway. In Dollywood's new Wildwood Grove section, Flit and Flutter, two colorful characters, will be available for photo opportunities.

Dolly Parton is more than excited to kick off the 35th anniversary season in the Great Smoky Mountains with a little bit of food and a whole lotta flowers.

I imagined having my own special field of flowers that were a fragrant home to my favorite animal friends in the woods. Now, my Dollywood becomes that special place with everything made of flowers — I can't wait to share it with everyone just in time for our 35th season!

The Food at the Dollywood Food and Flower Festival

As for the food, Knox News shares the first new festival experience since 2006 will feature springtime favorites such as pink watermelon lemonade and fresh violet slushies.

Along with the new event, Dollywood's 35th-anniversary celebration will include popular events such as the Festival of Nations, Barbeque & Bluegrass, Rock the Smokies, and Smoky Mountain Christmas.
