Now that the brunt of winter is over, it's time to start trading in those warm hot chocolates for over-the-top decadent milkshakes that send you to your happy place. We're talking a double dose hazelnut Nutella, fudgy chocolate and peanut butter, creamy strawberry shortcake, and the best of all, s'mores. Yes, a luscious smoky and sweet s'mores milkshake is the dessert fix you need to go with all those sun shining days that scream summer play.
Bringing the campfire to you in the most heavenly way, Tastemade has conjured up the epitome of what every s'mores shake should be. Just look at this decadent monstrosity! It's oozing with chocolate and pilled high with perfectly golden brown fluffy marshmallows. If you can't wait to slurp and sink you're teeth into this rich shake, grab your blender and let's get started.
First, the glass prep. You can't have something that screams over-the-top without decking out the glass. Give the inside a good dose of chocolate sauce so it oozes its sweet richness into the shake. Next, rim it with chocolate sauce and roll it in crushed graham cracker cookies for a bit of crunch.
Now for the good stuff, the shake. For the liquid base, skip the nonfat milk. Don't kid yourself, we're not trying to save calories here. We're making the creamiest shake possible so go for the full fat. Toss in the cocoa powder and then a few scoops of ice cream. Vanilla will work, but to make it extra rich choose something like toasted marshmallow ice cream or a double chocolate. Blend until it's nice and thick then pour it into that sweet chocolatey glass.
Now for the fun part, the marshmallows. Plop a few marshmallows on top and torch until golden brown. If you don't have a torch, you can still get your mallows toasty by plopping them under the broiler for about a minute. Or if you do so happen to have a campfire roaring, you can use that too.
