Cracker Barrel Waitress Shamed by Note Left on Receipt in Place of Tip

A Cracker Barrel waitress in South Carolina was going about her shift, serving customers, when she went to pick up the check from a now-vacant table. In place of a monetary tip, a paragraph "life tip" was left on the back - and it was incredibly unkind.

The waitress, who, according to WYFF, wishes to remain anonymous, picked up the tab and a napkin underneath that started with the words, "Thank you for your excellent service today - Your a good waitress." What followed was rude and judgmental to the waitress, starting with "Here's your tip."

Here is the full transcript of the note - mistakes included,

"The womans place is in the home. You're place is in the home. It even says so in the Bible. You may think that [your] contributing to your household by coming into work, but your not. While your in here 'working' this is the reason your husband must see another women on his way home from a long day at his work. Because you should be takeing [sic] care of the household duties. You may think what you are doing 'working' is right, it is really essentially a disgrace to his manhood and to the American family. So instead of coming to your 'job' and looking for hand out's to feed your family, hows about going home and cleaning your house and cooking a hot meal for your husband and children, the way you're husband and God intended, and help make America great again. Praying for families and our nation."

The note is signed, "Love" followed by the couple's last name.

The waitress said she was shocked to receive the note as the couple was polite and very friendly as she served them throughout their stay. The waitress also noted that she is not married, but "has a loving and supportive boyfriend who has been by her side as she is working to try and further her education."

The Cracker Barrel waitress said she wishes no harm or negativity toward them and is keeping them in her prayers.
