Summer is prime time for camping. Sure, you like the whole idea of eating food cooked over a fire, but if you're not a fan of bugs and sleeping outside, then maybe an indoors "campfire" meal is the thing for you. If that's the case, look for limited time Campfire Meals on the Cracker Barrel menu for the camping season. It's summer comfort food with rocking chairs instead of sleeping bags.
For the full experience, order the Campfire Beef, which comes to the table wrapped in a foil packet just like you might cook over an open fire. The dish is slow-cooked chuck roast, with sweet corn on the cob, red skin potatoes, fresh carrots, tomato wedges, and onions. An American classic, add on a slice of cornbread or fried apples to make this meal complete.

The chain also has Roasted Sweet Glazed Chicken and BBQ Pork, which each come with Campfire Baked Beans (smoky pinto beans with tomato, mustard, and spices then topped with chopped bacon) and Seasoned Corn on the Cob (sprinkled with North Carolina BBQ Spice, parmesan cheese, and parsley).
Because Cracker Barrel is all about breakfast, they're also offering a Smoky Beef Brisket Breakfast. The beef brisket is served over Sweet Pepper n' Red Skin Hash and then topped with two cooked to order eggs, melted Colby cheese, housemade crispy onions, smoky-sweet BBQ sour cream, and parsley. And it comes with two buttermilk biscuits, because it's not Southern breakfast without biscuits.
If a sweet breakfast is more your thing, there's the Chocolate Chip Pancake Breakfast with three buttermilk pancakes with semi-sweet chocolate chips, real butter, and a warm bottle of 100% Pure Natural Syrup. The pancakes come with two eggs and your choice of hickory-smoked bacon, smoked sausage patties, or turkey sausage. An addition of a hashbrown casserole or even fresh fruit is always a good choice.

Of course, camping means s'mores, so Cracker Barrel has a special summer dessert that turns the s'more up to 11. The dish starts with a fudgey chocolate brownie on a graham cracker crust, which is topped with a toasted marshmallow and a melting Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar. On the side is vanilla ice cream drizzled with Hershey's Special Dark Sauce.
You can also drink your s'mores with a hot or iced S'mores Latte, which blends marshmallow, milk chocolate, and graham cracker flavors with espresso and steamed milk. Plus, you know, whipped cream, crumbled graham crackers, and a Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar on top, because it's summer and we're going to treat ourselves.
