  • 1 Tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1/2 tsp white vinegar

  • 1 tsp canola oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 lb ground chuck (formed into 4 patties)
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4 toasted hamburger buns

  • red onion
  • lettuce
  • tomato

In-N-Out Sauce

  • In small bowl combine mayo, ketchup, relish, and white vinegar. Set aside until ready to use.

  • Heat skillet or griddle over medium heat and coat with oil. Salt and pepper both sides of the patty and cook 3 minutes. Add mustard and flip burger, cooking an additional three minutes or longer, depending on your preference. Add cheese and allow to melt. Remove from heat and place on a toasted hamburger bun. Top with sauce and toppings of your choice.

Make this burger "Animal Style" by adding on some caramelized onions in place of the red onion.
This sauce goes great with french fries, so make sure to fire up a batch of fries to make this meal complete.
